Typical diner food; amazing pie. Service is always great. The environment is very "cafeteria" feel, but it's a truck stop (what were you expecting). Always get pie, even if it's to go. You will not regret it. If you want bang for your buck and great food, this is the place.

Good truckstop food, but the pie is the real reason to stop here. Best pie between Deadhorse and Chilliwack.

This place was amazing we had the reindeer sausage omelette and our waitress Michelle was amazing. The pie was even more amazing get it first so you have the best first.

Absolutely Amazing Experience! The Soup of the day was to die for... then our sandwiches came... the ingredients sooo fresh! Portions were extreme! We got a to-go box and a slice of pie for later. I just finished the pie - and I swear I was sitting at my Mom's table having a slice of what she just baked. Am going back -- and in a hurry!!!

The food at this place is really good. The portions are really, really big. However, i had to hoe them of a star due to the fact i had a grey hair in my food. I am 25 with short hair and my wife has black hair soooo i doubt it belonnged to us. These servers need to wear hairnets and gloves because thats just gross. Other than that, good food

I am a gas station user. At the gas station where a Zip code (Japanese cards cannot be used) is required at the last minute to close the store, I ask the employee to put it in the card and ask if he can pay the cost with cash, but when the store closes, the employee Or continued to be ignored

It's the best ever

Years ago we gave the Hilltop Cafe' the highest of reviews and now it only rates as "it's okay". We have highly recommended the Hilltop Truck Stop to several tourists and to a few friends and without exception they all told us their experience was horrible. It always fell to the bad wait staff, not the food. I won't recommend the Hilltop to anyone else and I really hope that you take the time and effort to hire quality wait staff because even if the food is awesome, customers won't return if the service is horrible. Too bad because Fairbanks area doesn't offer a lot of home cookin' the way Hilltop does it :(

It's the Last service stop Before you enter the Dalton Hwy. And I felt warm when Have the rest inside.

It’s the first gas station after returning from Dalton Highway. Our car almost ran out of gas. It saved us.

Brake for pie! My family loves this place. The country fried steak makes us feel like we are back in the South. My father-in-law, a man born and raised in Alabama who loves liver and onions, says Hilltop has some of the best liver and onions he's ever had. Pro Tip: I highly recommend taking an extra slice of Dutch Apple pie home to hide from the kids and eat after their bedtime.

We stopped in for a bite to eat because it was recommended by some locals. We had a great experience. The food was very good and plenty of it. We were told The pie is famous. We did get that to go which turned out to be amazing.The waitress and staff were very friendly. If your ever in the Fox Alaska area I highly recommend stopping by.

Waited for 15 min just to get menus, and was ignored. And then waitress was rude when I ordered. Waitress was named Wanda, and it was breakfast, my hash browns were a pile of limp shredded potatoes and my chicken fried steak was hard and burnt, scrambled eggs were burned also, and gravy was separated.

Always a great place. Great food. Great pie.But uh... dudes.. got back to my new home in Nevada and noticed the bumper sticker (that used to just be a cute saying and has now turned into an advertisement) and the shirt say this place is in two different town.

I liked the food. The food was ALWAYS good. I always got the biscuits and gravy. That was my favorite. But the food was great. If I lived in Fairbanks again, I would go every weekend all over again just for the food.

I ordered their jalapeño Burger and onion rings. The burger was huge and delicious. The onion rings were also delicious. I was very happy and will remember the hilltop and look forward to eating there again. Thank you hilltop.

Best Dutch Apple Pie I have ever eaten. I'm in Colorado and I can't find that pie here. Stores sell frozen and local restaurants try to sell a apple pie they call Dutch Apple, but it doesn't even compare. You've got to try their Dutch Apple pie.

So what's the deal kitchen opens at 8 but your store opens at 6am I fill my rig sleep in your lot wake up to start my day now I have to drive back to town to get food just to turn around and head north

I heard it was the last gas station on the Doton Highway, there was a supermarket or a small restaurant.
